New Haven Connecticut May 24, 1971. SUBPOENAED Stewart E Albert 31, of New York City and Judy Gumbo, 27 of Boston who say they’ve been subpoenaed to answer questions for a federal grand jury in New York, sit together on New Haven Green Sunday. Federal sources say grand jury is looking into an alleged plot to bomb New York banks. Albert and Miss Gumbo have been attending Bobby Seale- Erica Huggins trial here.
Yes we were subpoenaed, no we were not part of any plot, and best of all our subpoenas had to be dropped because of illegal government electronic surveillance.
